Eight years ago I had the wonderful opportunity to essentially retire early from my work as a biologist and become a stay at home mom for my 3 year old and 1 year old boys. At 40 years old, the daily pattern of my life completely changed and the truth is the first year was quite an adjustment. In the end it was my kids that gave me a direction and helped me find my way.

Reflecting their intense interest in dinosaurs and ocean creatures, they asked for
images they could color just about every day that first year. Unbelievably, quality
non-commercial coloring books were virtually non existent in stores as well as on-line.  The next few years I spent countless hours drawing triceratops, t-rexs, whales, dolphins and anything else the boys wanted to color. Those years of drawing for the boys lead me to the discovery of a hidden love of art and art history. In the years since I’ve become an avid painter and now can’t imagine my life any other way.

In my mind, I always knew, given time and opportunity, I would make my coloring pages available to other moms. This website reflects my desire for those moms and dads to have quality, unique coloring pages available to share with their own children. I hope to add more and more themes in the coming years and create a rich resource for all the parents out there that wish to spend a few hours just coloring with their kids.
